WHAT IS ZODIAC MOTANKA?
A Zodiac Motanka is a creative fusion of traditional Motanka dolls and the signs of the zodiac signs. Each Zodiac Motanka is handcrafted to incorporate personality traits, symbols and energies of a given sign.
HOW MUCH MATERIAL IS REQUIRED TO CREATE ONE BEAR?
It takes approximately ½ of a yard of fabric to make an 18” Memory Bear, the equivalent of 1 large men's' long sleeve shirt. The needed fabric can come from any one or multitude of clothing garments.
WHAT TYPE OF CLOTHING CAN I USE FOR MY KEEPSAKE?
The most important thing is to choose a pieces of clothing which pull at your heart strings and connects you to the memories you’re looking to preserve! The rest is up to you! I can craft your doll from any article of clothing or fabric made of the full range of fabrics. Don’t worry if the item has a few stains, we can work around them!
CAN I ADD PHOTOS OR COPIES OF LETTERS, POETRY, ETC. TO MY KEEPSAKE?
Yes, we can copy one or more of your photos, letters, etc. onto special fabric and then add them to any Memory Bear. Contact us for further questions or pricing for this option.
DO YOU OFFER SAFETY EYES FOR THE BEARS?
While we typically use Black safety eyes for the Memory Bear, we are happy to make them with color coordinating buttons at your request.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY KEEPSAKE(S)?
I will create your keepsake and ship your order in 12 weeks after we receive your materials. Large orders and orders during the holiday season may require additional time.
CAN MY CHILD PLAY WITH THE KEEPSAKE?
Our keepsakes are handsewn and delicate. While they of course will withstand handling, they’re more suited to being left on display away from children and animals.
AFTER I'VE SENT YOU EVERYTHING, THEN WHAT?
Please provide us with a shipping provider and tracking number on you package. We will contact you after receipt of your package to let you know it is in our care. When it is time for us to start your special request, we will prepare your clothing and design your bear, if we have any questions we'll get in touch with you.
HOW WILL I KNOW WHEN MY KEEPSAKE HAVE BEEN COMPLETED?
Once completed we will send you an e-mail and pictures to inform you that your bears are ready for shipment to you, at that time we will also request balance payment.
We’ll include the tracking number so you can follow the shipment’s progress to your home if you choose to.
WHAT TYPES OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
You have the option to pay by cash, credit card, PayPal, Venmo, or money order.
